PrePresentPost
Sadly so, to me, although i do not partake in the celebrations of christmas, the festive atmostphere is quickly washed away by the rain. It has begun raining since late last night, and has continued so till this morning. Not that it was totally bright and sunny yesterday, it was a rather grey christmas yes?

My parents are off to send Gramms for checkup, and i'm alone at home.. Obviously i wasn't allowed to come; the car would be too crowded then. I'm supposed to be doing my projects right about now, but the feeling of need to relax for the holidays is distracting me. lol. okay i'm just making excuses to procrastinate. Maybe i would begin my projects after this.

Sundays were my lay-back-and-slack days. But since Gramms would be coming over, we had to rearrange my furnitures. So i spent Sunday cleaning and revamping my space. Now, i have a television!! haha. Then spent the evening at my aunt's; Gramms was there. Nope, no chickens to eat, let alone turkeys. During the stay, we did talk for a bit, lesser than we used to of course; she cannot hold a conversation long. She found out my age (17yrs, btw) and she looked at my mother with somewhat soft shock and asked her, "she's 17 and she's not married?". I couldn't help but laugh. She still thinks girls get married at 14 and have nothing better to do but be sex machines and make soccer teams. haha. She didn't know my age. What's worse, no one seemed to know. All my aunts thought i was 13. Go Figure Ay??

To compensate for Sunday, I relaxed on Monday. There, 1 more excuse to procrastinate doing projects. Decided to spend the morning watching christmas special cartoons with my brother. Funny, the first one i watched was Barney. It used to be my favourite. But as we were watching, i couldn't help but notice- Barney's a figment of the children's imagination, yet the grandfather was talking to Barney. hurm.. Then i watched The Powerpuff Girls. Cute show. But somehow the girls ended up in the naughty list, and they got coals in their red socks. I mean.. Does Santa really bother putting coals in socks of naughty kids? Well, honestly i thought it was funny.. Why bother putting anything? Do kids really believe that? Or why hadn't i heard of this? Well, its either i've been ignorant of the falsities of christmas or its just one of my dumb blonde moments. I decided that cartoons these days are messing up kids' brains, and mine as well. So i lost interest, and went off to read for the rest of the day..

So maybe christmas day wasn't so bad. I got to relax, lay on my wonderfully cool bed, reading one of the best novels, listening to my favourite songs.. This, i think is just a good enough way to spend the day, since it isn't really a day of significance at all to me. If only the other days could be like this..

Ouh.. by the way.. i want a new up to date scrabble set. Anyone generous enough??
