The weather has taken a turn for the better i guess. It hasn't rained much since yesterday, and the sun is visibly up in the sky. Doors are banging, birds chirping, bicycles and tricycles crashing, kids screaming, maids chit chatting, old songs from old stereos of the old people downstairs, these sounds stream into my bedroom window, and though it may be a nuisance at other times, it sure is nice to hear today..

I heard in the late night news days ago that the massive rain had caused floods in certain parts like Thompson road and Jalan Dermawan ( ..wherever that is). I'm quite facinated by this actually. I never thought this would happen in this little island of ours. Furthermore, I'd expect a good drainage system around here, so a flood i did not expect.. Caught more news last night, and saw some land slides (mini) around that area as well.. I wonder how the residents felt. Did it stink? Was it disgusting? Were they affected in any way, other than transportation..? Maybe i should go there and take a look around. Then again, forget it. Many other news i heard, about many faulty cars, lost reared fishes in fish farms amounting to $10,000, and a 20% increase in taxi earnings. well, once again, early christmas for taxi drivers eh?

Nevertheless, i miss the rainy days. Lovely cool nights; i actually slept pretty well these days. And the feel of the cold tiles under my feet, the sound of abundant water running/falling. Rainy days aren't at all that bad, you know. Staying home, lazing around, watching television till there's nothing nice to watch, surfing the net till your neck hurts,chatting with friends til there's really nothing to say, youtube-ing till you're sick of waiting, then you go to bed.. despite waking up at 10. But today i woke at about 8, and the weather was already better.

Needless to say, today is the day to take the opportunity to get out in the sun. But i decided to stay home instead, despite the extreme unimaginable boredom that's getting at me right now. Suddenly i can't find a good place to go. Or i can't be bothered to think about it. Anyhow, i went to pathetic lengths to amuse myself. I played with the Scrabble tiles, which by the way, my father has kept since his teenage years. I grew up playing scrabble, was introduced to it before snakes and ladders and othello and such. Then i watched Nanny McPhee, which is a movie meant for little nuisances and pests. I don't know why, but i found it rather amusing. Have you watched it? You should. It's good. Teaches you some manners and life lessons. And the fact that it has subtitles even for ridiculous things like [fart] and [door knock], and when one of the so-called soundtracks came on, it had [woman singing] at the bottom of the screen. Didnt know boys and girls these days needed that much help in understanding..

There you have it. My amusement for the day. This is what happens when you do not establish good plans for the holidays. Depending on revisions and projects to fill your time is not a good idea, because they will forever be last resorts. Lesson for today.. A moron i am. My cousins asked me out shopping today and i turned them down to do this.. I bet they're having more fun than i am.. damn it. It has ceased to rain and im still making myself feel as pathetic as ever..

Alright, my stomach is growling, i think i'll go have my breakfast right about now.. maybe i'll make some french toasts..
