On dewy fields, up to the stars. What of a life if you lived it in stubborn naivety? Of a life where you shut out a certain course because through first/second/third hand information you were warned of the possibilities of an awaiting obstacle that threatens the very toppling of life itself and your bodily existense?
In short, you are just too scared to go through a certain something because you've seen/heard/understood the risks, misery and failures that unwaveringly comes, like a bad smell. No doubt when we're given the guidelines to living life we'd take a highlighter and scratch it across every unfortunate event that we are being forewarned.
I had grown up with such events boldly flashing in my head. I grew up with a destructive ideology that living solo was ultimate and pregnancy is the downfall to every success. Love remained a vague something, marriage appeared redundant and children an utter nuisance.
And then, I begin to fear.
***We,the people of the city, curse the rain and the stormy weather for barricading us from the beauty and ease of a bright sunny day. Umbrellas are an annoying necessity and everybody scurries. Daily activities are not curbed but efficiency is hindered.
Wednesday saw me heading off after school to Yishun to meet the family, only to reach there while the family was just leaving the comforts of home. The crowd stank of stale wet laundry and the marble floors were muddy with shoeprints. 20 minutes, and they arrive with our freebie GV tickets. Movie choice: Step Up 2. Good, not awesome.

9 hours applied leave,
Thurday's agenda was breakfast, movie and shopping. We stood in queue debating on which show would be today's opening act. We settled for The Waterhorse, delectable but undeniably I would have have preferred The Spiderwick Chronicles.
The initial plan was to comb through Orchard but we ended up like dying stranded survivors craning our necks for rest spots and shoe shops (typical?) to rest our ever scurrying feet. Centrepoint to Cuppage to Sim Lim to Fu Lu Shou to Bugis, we splurged on taxi rides.

Inconvenient was photo-taking, so make do - my handsome brother. =)
Today, is
Friday. Full stop.

We'll talk somemore next time. MC tomorrow, goodnight.
