Waving it off

I'm amazed I totally missed out on last night's fireworks, visible from my bedroom window.

Because I dismissed it, quite solemnly, as another noisy crap by the neighbours or some silly boys with nothing more essential in life than creating a racket.

Like some grumpy old lady.
